A new movie "Bloodline" about the mystery surrounding the Priory of Sion and the union of Jesus and Mary Magdalene is being released this May.

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 7:33 PMWorth seeing...dramatic and yet at the same time well researched documentary filmmaking. I read "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" in the early 90's and have long been interested in this topic....
On another note, I want to say how annoying I found the book, The Da Vinci code - formulaic and cheap treatment of the subject, sort of a "Readers digest" (or worse) version, with tons of errors, omissions and very silly characters...pedestrian storytelling (trying to sound sophisticated, ick!) speaking to an American audience and presumably not a very discerning one at that.

Thu, June 5, 2008 - 8:46 PMI saw a documentary of the same name about the breeding and raising of pitt bulls. The whole thing looked like it was put together by a bunch of ghetto rats thinkin that owning the camera is the same as being a filmmaker. It's not.
As for this "Bloodline," I'll have to add it to the list. I though Holy Blood, Holy Grail was an interesting read, but agree that the DaVinci Code seemed completely contrived. But then, that's what you get when you water down your story to meet the American junkfood palette.
Just don't ask me to see it again. -

I'm at the tail end of some kind of prolonged almost psychotic interlude where a whole bunch of these mysterious historical threads were floating about and materialising in weird ways...
